Last week we wrapped up another great set of trainings at the African Environments compound in Olasiti – a Wilderness First Responder Recertification and a Wilderness First Aid course. We are always glad to see students show back up for recertification. Not only is it great to catch up with old friends, it’s important to refresh skills and review the latest medical standards. Lots of guides, lots of guide services represented. The WFA was bit more diverse – guides, camp staff, drivers and those who simply love the outdoors. Both are great courses, but our courses are not just about medicine, we place heavy emphasis on decision making, leadership skills, dealing with stress, emergency management – our courses help one handle life’s toughest situations.
