The Sentinel Outdoor Institute was founded with the mission to provide high quality education to improve livelihood, health and conservation outcomes in places it is not readily available.  The central tenet of our operation is supporting our students.  We continually endeavor to do more: teach more classes, bring them to those who cannot so easily travel, and deliver classes at low or no cost to those in greatest need.  An essential factor for doing so is the strength of our partnerships, and our partners at To Return have provided a conduit for offsetting course costs for students for nearly a decade.

If you have lived, worked or traveled with someone who made an experience in one of our service areas special and would like to support their continued education and growth, we would be happy to provide that opportunity.  If you hold a community or landscape dear, we can target students who support them through our scholarship program.
